Please Pray

My mom (Susan Killeen) is in Ethiopia. She is working with some of the orphanages. Hopefully we will be able to put up some pictures of the blankets we sent over when she gets back. Please pray for her safe travels.

Making a Difference!

All of our blankets have been sent over to the orphanage! Some one donated some more knot blankets so we could sent them over also and we just heard that we had JUST enough for every one in the orphanage to have one! ~Praise the Lord!

*I'm not able to post pictures yet but hopefully will be able to soon.

New Ideas

So, we have had an amazing summer! We had a blanket making party and made around 15 blankets and we raised enough money by selling bracelets to send over a "crib bunk bed" that ca hold 3 babies in the orphanage. (see photos below, and we only sent over 1, the other was sent by some one else). The blankets that we made are being sent over to the orphanage as I write this and I will post pictures as soon as I get them.

Now we need new ideas for upcoming events and ways to raise money for the orphanage. If you have any ideas or would like to help by getting involved, please contact us! (Even if you are an adult....YOU CAN HELP TOO YOU KNOW!) :) :) :)

Beds

We've recently spent the money that we have earned by selling bracelets to buy some cribs for the orphanage. These will be used for the babies in the orphanage. Thanks to any one who has contributed to our cause!

Our Letter!

Recently, we have had trouble selling our bracelets so we decided to write a letter and put it in people's mail boxes. This is what it said:

KIDS CARE

Hello! Our names are Allison, Rachel, Ryan, and Hannah. We are kids who know that if we work together we can make a difference. We know and believe that no one is too small to help others.

About 5 years ago, the 4 of us decided that we could make a difference by raising money in various ways. Our goal is to support an orphanage in Ethiopia through ARISE Adoptions (a non-profit orginization). We earn money by making and selling jewelry. Over the years we have sent over 50 blankets and raised over 700$.

So, as we continue to support Ethiopia and make a difference, we ask you to come along and join us in our cause.

Recently, we have had trouble finding places to sell our jewelry. We need YOUR help! If you know of a place for us to sell our jewelry or would like to help in any other way (time, effort, or talent) Please Contact Us!

Sincerely,
Allison (14), Rachel (13), Ryan (11), and Hannah (10)

Welcome Home Dye Family!

We welcomed home the Dye family a couple weeks ago and it was amazing! They have been waiting to bring home a child from Ethiopia for a long time and have been through a lot of obstacles. They ended up being able to bring home two cute little boys. God is good! Welcome home!

Armstrong Bracelets

What do you think? Good fudraiser? I think that we should have some that say kids care! I haven't got around to finally making the purchase, but I think we should do green and yellow swirl. Please vote on the color you think we should use on the side. Also, please leave your comments about the idea. Thank you!

Some pretty Kool Kids

Lesley and Rebecca have started the new year off generously. They have willingly raised money for project G.l.o.w. and Ethiopia. They have given their time, money, and effort. Thank you Lesley especially for getting kids envolved. Thanks for all your help; it really is a great way to start off the new year.
